God's Written Stories
When you hold a book, you're holding an entire story in your hands. You could flip to any page in a book and go directly to any spot in that book, but for the characters, it's all happening in the moment—just like us.
Once an author finishes writing a book, they already know what happens in the story before the release day arrives—like God before we're born.
God's standing outside of time and He can jump to any point in our lives and see what's happened in our stories, which is why we shouldn't worry. If an author read their own book, they wouldn't worry about the outcome, because they know what it is. And if they could somehow talk to the characters, and tell them not to worry, then the characters should have full trust in the author. So, why should we worry when God's situation is the same, except He can talk with us?
I just thought it was quite interesting not only how God's outside of time, but how our lives are like a book, in some sense, to Him. It makes it a lot easier to wrap our brains around and to understand.
God knew that I was going to be in my bedroom writing this while watching "I Love Lucy," but I didn't when I woke up this morning. He also knew that you'd be reading this, and He knew what you were going to do after you're done reading this.
This is the same type of feeling I get when I think about the fact that space never ends, and, on top of that, there's other realms that we cannot access nor see. Pretty incredible, isn't it?
As I write and read more stories, I'll definitely be seeing them, and most certainly my own life story, as well, through God's eyes.
