He Cares. He Listens. He Loves.
Forget about the world around you. Forget about the chaos, the deadlines, the standards . . . forget about everything, even if it's just for a moment. God created you with a purpose, with a plan, and with a story. You are essential to the execution of God's plan. He doesn't just create people so the population can just grow larger and larger, He creates people for a reason.
What's chaotic in your life? Does it seem like too much sometimes—or most of the time? What about those deadlines? Stressful, right? And the standards? The unrealistic standards in life? If you depend on your own will and strength for these things, you're bound to be set up to fail.
God is love—one of my favorite verses in the Bible—and with His love comes peace. Another one of my favorites is where worrying won't add time to your life. It's just a waste of time, and it does no good, and worrying will not change the outcome. In a world full of almost non-stop pressure, people are bound to break.
Personally, it's not always easy to just give all your worries to God. It's really not. It's out of your hands and, in the moment, you think that you're the only one who can try to change things yourself, but it's not true. I mean, if God can create all that He did and orchestrate such a beautiful story known as the past, present, future and everything outside of time, then why can't we trust Him when times are hard? The issue is, we don't think of Him first; we think of ourselves first.
Chaos of a family or work, deadlines for a job or education, and even standards for skills or appearance can all attribute to one's own life, and the view of themselves. People should not just accept this "norm" of craziness, they should embrace the solution that they are and have been searching for.
Many have resorted to music and other methods to try to help themselves relax and get out of that state of mind, but that's only a temporary fix that wears off. It doesn't heal the brokenness, it's only a temporary covering and, when removed, the wound is still there.
How do you react when life hits you? Music, talking with someone, a hobby . . . God? And no matter how big or how small something may seem . . . He cares. He listens. He loves.
